I spent most of last September in Ireland. My sister and I searched our roots, and the yarn stores. Knitting stores were scarce, they export their wool to China. To anyone going to search roots, I would suggest getting all the info you can at home first. The "Heritage Centers" are stingy with their info, and even some of the church records are not released for viewing. We had more luck at the local level, in the library. The trip was fantastic, we took a bus tour first for a week, then set out on our own. We brought back generic aran sweaters, but would love to know if there is one for our family.
