| The Maguire sweater is absolute beautiful! Maguire is my married name, but I have other ancestors from Ireland, as well. What's a little odd is that my grandfather's sister married a man named Thomas Maguire and moved to Lowell, MA in late 1800's. My husband and I often wondered if we might be line kin!

They were second or third cousins.I was raised in a working class family.None of us are or were rich.My father named my only living brother after his beloved uncle Daniel.Or I don't know if it was my great grandfather's name.Although I doubt it.Even though my great grandfather forgave my grand mother for marrying be low her station in life, before his death.I doubt that my father would've forgiven him.He worshipped the ground his mother walked on.I never knew my father's mother nor his father, they both died before I was ever born.As did my great grandfather.My father never told none of us children any of this,my mother would and some cousins did too.My mom never told us a lot until after my father died. One of my cousins researched all of this for one of her college thesis' It was all found to be true.I know that my father really looked up to his mother a lot because when ever I'd ask him about his parents he'd tell me his mother was a saint on earth and that he hoped that his father was burning in hell.Then he'd tell me he didn't want to talk about it any more and that was that.
I find all of this interesting and I hope other's might too.That's why I'm sharing it.And no I nor anyone in my family are rich nor ever will be nor was.But I'm glad to be alive and PROUD OF MY IRISH BACKGROUND and THE IRISH BLOOD THAT COURSES THROUGH ME. |

While logging in, I was posed a bar to indicate my affiliation with Irish race. Out of several options, one close to escape lying was one if I had shown my distant grandfathers were Irish so I opted for it on the merit that when human tree runs down from Adam and Eve, surely we would connect some where with each other though we are Pathans, migrated from Afghanistan or perhaps Caucasus because most of Pathans are fairer than European races. I hope you broaden the scope. I am happy that Irish people respect clans system a s we do tribe system here though the globalized world is exerting pressure on it to dilute them. | Hi, my mom's maiden name is Meehan and bith names originate from the same clan (you probably know this) but I was wondering if the Meehan clan has its own sweater, I know it has its own crest. Even if my family's name doesn't have its own sweater I still think this is a great site! |

| I have enjoyed visiting this site very much and am intending on sharing this site with others of Irish heritage. I have found as I have become older it is very important to me to discover as much as I can about my heritage. I am very interested in anything that I can discover about the Daily family heritage. I do know that the spelling of our name was changed when our family traveled to the United States and took on variations even here. My grandfather and my great-grandfather were both barbers. My great, great grandfather was a circuit clergyman. That is all that I know. They settled here in Louisiana. How they came to settle in the South, I do not know. | I came upon this site and I found it interesting. I am always glad to find out more information on my families history. My Fathers family came from Ireland, although I have not found out much from them. My grandfather, Cleveland Hoyt Carroll passed away when my Father was very young and now one seems to know really anything about our family. It seems that they did not talk about it or anyone.
