While logging in, I was posed a bar to indicate my affiliation with Irish race. Out of several options, one close to escape lying was one if I had shown my distant grandfathers were Irish so I opted for it on the merit that when human tree runs down from Adam and Eve, surely we would connect some where with each other though we are Pathans, migrated from Afghanistan or perhaps Caucasus because most of Pathans are fairer than European races. I hope you broaden the scope. I am happy that Irish people respect clans system a s we do tribe system here though the globalized world is exerting pressure on it to dilute them. | My maiden name was Nulty. I had been told my Great Grandfather Bernard Nulty dropped the Mc when he arrived in American. I am not sure this is correct.
Bernard Nulty was a published poet. I was shown a book of his poems when I was a child. I do not know what happened to the book after my father died.

| The UPS man just delivered two of the nicest sweaters I ever tried on, and the fit is perfect. Happy is too inadequate a term to define my glee at the feel. look, quality, and texture of the two turtlenecks you sent me. I have been looking for this fit and feel ever since I portrayed writer Ernest Hemingway in my graduate thesis monodrama in 1978. The receptionist brought in the box from Ireland and my mother responded that it couldn't possibly be for her. She opened it up and tried it on. She says it's absolutely beautiful and a perfect fit. | My grandmother on my father's side last name was O'Neill. I am so happy that there is actually a pattern for that clan. It's very edifying to keep our traditions and pass them down through the ages.
I don't think there esists a better web site then this one to buy beautiful precious soft wool attire. The prices are very resonable considering. |

| When in Ireland last month, I purchased the knitting pattern for our clan - Egan. I would love to knit hats for my 2 adult sons and husband using the pattern, but I need a hat pattern. Can anyone help me figure out how to use the basic Egan pattern, but knit into a hat? Thanks. We are so excited to know that we have a special sweater just for the Egans. |

| My mother was a Flannery. Her relatives came from Castlebar, Mayo, Ireland. I have always loved the Aran sweaters and the history behind them. One Christmas I knitted six different ones for each of my grandchildren. I was hoping to find a pattern for the Flannery name but it wasn't listed. I would appreciate it if anyone could tell me to which clan they might belong. We have many relations with Irish surnames, Brennan, McNulty, Dolan, Carney to name a few. | I learned to knit Aran patterns from a knitter I lived with in Dublin whiile performing on the Dublin stage years ago. I am knitting an Aran sweater for my son, who has just completed an application for Irish citizenship. He has many Irish cousins, and wants to know as much as he can about his Irish heritage. I was thrilled to find the O'Reilly clan pattern. Unfortunately, I couldn't find Carnahan (Kernochan) or O'Hare from Co. Down.
