We provide enough Aran wool to create your perfectly sized sweater plus a little extra. This Traditional Irish 100% wool is water repellent, breathable and a delight to work with. The pattern is an easy to follow design, tailored specifically to suit your exact size requirements.

The name Cassidy comes from Cas meaning ‘Curly Headed’. This name is found principally in County Fermanagh and it’s adjacent counties. Cassidys were famous for centuries as poet’s churchmen and physicians for the Maguire chieftains.

The hand knit Cassidy sweater incorporates honeycomb rope, braid, cables and moss filled diamond stitches. The diamonds symbolise a wish for wealth, the honeycomb represents work and the cables a wish for good luck.
